Call for projects "LIFE SCIENCES: Inventing - Creating - Having fun"

The Office of Science & Technology of the Embassy of France in the United States of America will financially support French teams that participate in scientific competitions, contests or games organized by the United States and specializing in the Life Sciences.

The Office of Science & Technology hopes this program will encourage students and researchers to participate in exchanges with the United States, initiate collaborations between French and American scientists and promote participation in the sciences.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

At least half of a team’s members must be French and the affiliations of these members must be clearly mentioned. French participants competing individually are also eligible. Grants will be awarded to teams wishing to compete (registration fees, etc.) or teams who have already competed (compensation for their expenses). Only one grant will be awarded per team per project.

COMPETITIONS

Participants are eligible to compete in any competition specializing in the Life Sciences (example : iGEM, World Cell Race). Competitions must be affiliated in some way with the United States (American organization or award ceremony in the United States).

EVALUATION

Applicants will be evaluated by the Office of Science & Technology of the Embassy of France in the United States. Between five and ten applicants will be selected to receive a grant for an amount between 1,000 to 3,000 euros. The results will be announced one month after the deadline for applications.
