Capital Area IEEE Engineers Meet the Embassy: Science Programs in France

Societies and affinity groups from the National Capitol Area sections of IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers:
- Women in Engineering WIE,
- Communications Society,
- IEEE Washington Section,
- Graduates of the Last Decade GOLD
in cooperation with the Office of Science and Technology at the Embassy of France, organize technical presentations on April 24, 2012.

The evening includes a presentation on current and past science policies in France with implications for funding, government focus, and research directions; technical presentations in areas of science policy successes such as telecommunications, energy, and others; a discussion of opportunities for collaboration and scientific exchange from undergraduate level and above; funding organizations, goals. Formal discussion and question and answer follow. The evening ends with opportunity for informal discussions.

Registration and networking take place between 6:30 and 7:15 pm. Presentations and discussion begin at 7:15 and conclude at 9:00 pm.

Because of access considerations, all interested IEEE members and their guests must send name, daytime contact telephone number, email address and, if driving, the license plate number of the car in an email to carolyn @ stattech.com no later than 5:00 pm 23 April.
