Summer is almost here and this year there are two great opportunities to further educate yourself in the fields of science and technology !

In the month of June, The Mediterranean City : A Conference on Climate Change Adaptation will take place in Los Angeles. This conference will initiate an ongoing collaboration of cities working together to adapt to the current and future impacts of climate change. It will bring together experts from a variety of different fields, including business, policy and public health and address issues such as water, energy, biodiversity and many others. The conference will take place at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel from June 24-28. To make a reservation and for further information, please visit www.medcityconference.org

Later this summer, the 16th of August marks the deadline to apply for the Marie Curie Fellowship Programs. These fellowships offer individual mobility for experienced researchers of all nationalities, in Europe and internationally for one to two years. The Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship funds top researchers from third world countries to work on research projects in Europe, with the hope of encouraging future collaboration and research cooperation with Europe. The Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship for Career Development funds higher education, which will allow further research, international collaboration, enhance the researcher’s individual competence, and diversification in terms of skill acquisition. And lastly, the Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship for Career Development funds higher education for organizations based in third world countries, which would strengthen international collaboration with Europe and allow the researcher to return to Europe with newly acquired knowledge and further European research.
