The Doctoral Network, currently under negotiation, will promote cooperation in research between participating French and American institutions that will share supervision of doctoral students. Cooperative work will start in the domains of energy and development, but the projects will grow to include other specialties of shared interest such as applied mathematics, modeling, and biotechnologies. The work carried out will be based on comparable research projects conducted at different universities. The theses will be co-directed and leading to joint on dual diploma.
