TARA Oceans reception in NY City, February 9th

Philippe Lalliot, Consul General of France, and the Embassy of France’s Office of Science and Technology - in collaboration with Tara Expeditions - invite you to an evening celebration marking the N.Y.C. port visit and near conclusion of a 30-month scientific voyage to distant seas and oceans.

Tara Oceans is an exceptional three-year, nonprofit, marine expedition on a 118-foot schooner. The goal of this expedition is to study the planktonic ecosystems, how they interact, and their environmental impact.

Following presentations of the expedition and its discoveries by Dr. Eric Karsenti and Mr. Etienne Bourgois, Co-Directors of TARA Oceans, the program will conclude with a cocktail reception honoring agnes b., principal sponsor of the TARA Oceans expedition.
