FABS2015 – Prevention in the home and the establishment of health centers: A new mission for the future
In partnership with the Gérontopôle du Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse, the Office for Science and Technology organized the 2015 French American Biotech Symposium (FABS) on December 2, 2015. This event took place at the Hôtel-Dieu of Toulouse, at the same time as to the Nursing Homes Convention organized by the l’International Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology.

Since 2008, the Office for Science and Technology (OS&T - Los Angeles office) of the Embassy of France in the United States has been organizing the FABS workshops, which focus on American and French biotechnology research and strive to build bridges between these two countries in this field. This year, we will be teaming up with the Gérontopôle of Toulouse, the Cancer-Bio-Santé (Cancer-Bio-Health) competitiveness cluster, Invest in Toulouse (Toulouse’s economic development agency), and the So*Toulouse Convention Bureau to organize FABS (see article), which will be taking place on December 2nd 2015 at the Hôtel-Dieu in Toulouse.

The French American Biotech Symposium (FABS) was first launched in 2008 by the Office for Science and Technology of the Embassy of France in the United States, aiming to be held yearly, alternatively between the United States and France. The 2012 edition will be held on October 25-26, 2012, in Nice, France and will be focused on "Contributions of digital technologies to maintain the autonomy of aging people".
