The "Café des Sciences" is a series of scientific conferences given in French, organized by the Office for Science and Technology in Los Angeles. Each event is an opportunity for the French, Francophone and Francophile communities to meet with a French scientist working in the USA and to learn more about his or her research interests. The talk is always followed by an informal discussion and a cocktail reception. These events are free of charge and open to the public. They are an excellent opportunity to meet new people and to learn about science around a coffee or a glass of wine. Presentations are held in French.
