On the 19th of December, the Embassy of France hosted the last IPC meeting (International Programs Committee of the American Astronautical Society) under the presidency of M. Jim WAY (Executive Director – American Astronautical Society) and M. Aaron LEWIS (Senior Director Government Relations – Arianespace).
As an opening statement to the meeting, Norbert PALUCH, CNES Representative in the United States and Space Counselor of the Embassy, celebrated the international cooperation born from the Martian InSight mission, for which France is in charge of the seismometer, and called for the enhancing of international partnerships with increasingly ambitious scientific and technological goals.
The more than twenty participants debated the 2019 program of the group, holding particular attention to the possible events it could organize or promote in parallel to the 70th International Astronautical Congress which will take place in Washington D.C from the 21st to the 25th of October.
