2019-2020 Call for Proposals for the Dr. Cécile DeWitt-Morette

Stemming from a partnership between the Embassy of France in the United States and the University of Texas at Austin, the Dr. Cécile DeWitt-Morette France-UT Austin aims to support research collaborations between the University of Texas at Austin and French research and higher education institutions.

The first call for proposals for the France-UT Austin Endowment Fund falls within the scope of the French initiative « Make our Planet Great Again » and the « Grand Challenge Planet Texas 2050 » run by the University of Texas at Austin. Submitted proposals must lie within the topics emphasized by these two programs: climate change, sustainable development, energy transition and biodiversity.

All science disciplines included in the topics for the call for proposals are eligible (exact science, applied science, engineering, human and social sciences).


For this first call for proposals, the French-UT Austin Endowment Fund will reward six projects with a maximum of $10,000 each.

The proposals should associate a UT Austin PI with a professor, associate professor, or permanent researcher at a public research institution or institution of higher learning in France.
