The French American Biotech Symposium (FABS) was first launched in 2008 by the Office for Science and Technology of the Embassy of France in the United States (section of Los Angeles), aiming to be held yearly, alternatively between the United States and France.
The 2012 edition will be held on October 25-26, 2012, at the Novotel Nice Arenas Aéroport Hotel in Nice, France.

Each session will propose French and American presentations followed by a discussion with participants.
The Symposium is organized by Eurobiomed (a Competitiveness Health Cluster in Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur and Languedoc-Roussillon, France) and the Office for Science and Technology of the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles. This event benefits from the support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DGM), Sanofi, The Métropôle Nice Côte d’Azur and the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region.
Targeted attendees are French and American academic researchers, students, scientists involved in R&D projects, entrepreneurs and representatives of the ICT and pharmaceutical industries. Breaks have been organized in order to enhance networking and collaborative project opportunities and to enable face to face meetings and discussions.
