Apply by July 31 and grow your business in France, a gateway to Europe!

GROW YOUR BUSINESS IN FRANCE by leveraging transatlantic resources and partnerships! The Young Entrepreneurs Initiative (YEI) program is now accepting applications!

The Young Entrepreneurs initiative (YEi), started in 2006 and organized by The Office for Science and Technology of the Embassy of France in the US, is an accelerator designed to help entrepreneurs grow their business in France and Europe. It provides an intensive training in Boston and Paris and a one week immersion in France that will allow laureates to benefit from an extensive customized business network and connections to the best resources in Europe.

Why France?

The fiercely competitive global technology market is a challenge to any entrepreneur, and the key to success is being able to internationalize your vision and activities at an early stage. France’s Young Entrepreneurs Initiative can help you achieve your goal through a free, personalized, one-stop service.

France is evolving quickly and now offers significant advantages to innovators and entrepreneurs:
- World class R&D labs and business hubs ready to partner with technology ventures
- Highly skilled workforce - labor costs 20%-50% lower than in the US
- Fertile, productive business environment - advantages and benefits for startups
- Access to European R&D partners projects, funding and markets

US-based entrepreneurs selected to participate in the Young Entrepreneurs Initiative will benefit from mentoring, funding and a networking program to help them study the feasibility of setting up their venture in France, the stepping stone to Europe.

What do we offer?

The Office for Science & Technology of the French Embassy, in partnership with the Invest in France Agency, is delighted to offer to the 2014 YEi Laureates a free week immersion stay in France including training, connections and mentoring. This immersion week will be located in the Paris area and in one French region whose innovative ecosystem best fits the needs of each laureate.

This immersion week will include:
- Travel and hotel expenses
- An intensive training in Paris on “how to do business in France”
- Personalized business connections in the stimulating Parisian ecosystem
- Personalized business connections in the ecosystem beyond Paris that best fits the needs of each laureate
- Intensive mentoring and coaching

Additional prizes to the YEi candidates
French incubators and Business Innovation Center (BIC) partners of YEi and members of the RETIS network will offer a one-week immersion stay in their facilities, providing coaching and mentoring to some of the candidates, chosen through a matchmaking process. French entities will publish a “soft-landing offer” describing the economic specificities of their territories and what they have to offer. In 2013, seven companies received these regional prizes.
