The NanoART contest supports the atmosphere of discovery and wonder that nanoscience and nanotechnology research represent and is open to all students and post-doctoral fellows and to labs all over the world. Organized by the Nanoscience Foundation, it wants to promote the public interest and acceptance of nanotechnologies by showing them interesting pictures, models or illustrations.
The pictures should be primarily from the work of students and the subject of the picture has to be between 1nm - 100nm scale. The work should be recent (not older then 6 months prior to the submission) and can be resubmitted 3 times in different months if it has not won a prize.
Images can be submitted here by the last Friday of each month. If the file is too large, contestant should bring/mail it on a flash drive, CD or DVD at the Foundation offices, 23, rue des Martyrs, 38000 Grenoble.
The winners will receive US $200 by the sponsors. The winning images are displayed here. At the end of each year the monthly winning entries will be entered in a final competition for the award of annual scholarships. Cash prizes for the top three of the 12 monthly competition winners in each calendar year – will amount to US$5 000 (1st prize), US$3 000 (2nd prize) and US$2 000 (3rd prize).
