On July 21st 2016, the CNES (Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales, the French Space Agency) has gathered the space community of Washington DC at the Maison française for a conference organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, with the support of SpaceNews, Tauri Group and Arianespace.

After the opening remarks by Mr. Frank ROSE, assistant secretary for arms control, verification and compliance at US Department of State since December 2014, about a hundred representatives of agencies, universities, research centers, think-tanks, interest groups and private companies have discussed during three hours along three lines:

  • international perspectives on commercial space activities,
  • commercial launch systems,
  • space services and resource utilization.
