Assessing tumor ecosystems at the Nantes-Angers Cancer and Immunology Research Center

The Nantes-Angers Cancer and Immunology Research Center (CRCINA,, a multidisciplinary research center supported by INSERM, CNRS, Nantes and Angers Universities in partnership with SIRIC ILIAD, an INCa-certified cancer research organization, is offering a 2-year Research Fellowship (Principal Investigator) starting at the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020 in Nantes, France. The fellowship will provide support comprising a salary for the fellow and graduate student, associated consumable running costs as well as lab equipment. This position provides an ideal platform for a researcher wishing to establish her or his independent cancer research group in already available laboratory space in a dynamic environment. SIRIC ILIAD offers access to primary cells (cohorts of patients with biological and clinical characteristics) and derived models (organoids, PDX), and high-throughput tools. Areas within basic/translational cancer research investigating the tumor ecosystem (including its imaging, molecular profiling, functional analysis, therapeutic targeting, …) will be considered.

The applicant should have demonstrated her/his ability to develop original research in the field of cancer research and will be expected to interact with the existing teams. The applicant will be expected to be both eligible and competitive for external funding and to apply for grant/fellowship support during the 2-year term, with the intention that this will lead to a tenured position.
